This emerging artist plans on using his residency at 18th Street Arts Center as a time to continue his practice often referred to as his “ink blot” style or
"hyper-realism", in which he creates large scale abstract paintings that make it possible to see an infinite amount of dimensions of thought at once. Hyper-realism is a more complete way of seeing in which people’s diverse visual perspectives and subconscious thoughts are made clear as a type of art therapy. Karl uses his paintings to communicate with the thought patterns of others and with his own thought patterns through a meditative process. A recent graduate of Rutgers University, Karl's painting style starts as an abstract expression which then is cut into multiple dimensions of clean bright and dark colored lines.
